Oporto is the second most important city in Portugal.
The capital of the north sits between the Douro river and the Atlantic Ocean.
Oporto is known for the majestic bridges, the medieval riverside district and of course, the port wine.
You can visit the São Francisco church and its extravagant interior, the 19th century Palácio da Bolsa and for a wonderful view of the whole city from the Torre dos Clerigos. Port wine cellars in Gaia.
After lunch Francesinha a typical dish of Porto , you can have a coffee in the Magestic Café.
A trip by car or van might also show you the Bolhão Market, the famous Lello library.
If you plan on staying for several days, you can visit Guimarães considered the birthplace of Portugal because Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal, was born.
And the terracing where the vineyards can be enjoyed Regua and Pinhão.
